While counselling and coaching often share similar tools and approaches, they serve slightly different purposes.
Counselling offers space to explore emotions, past experiences, and patterns. It focuses on understanding yourself more deeply, processing challenges, and supporting emotional healing and growth.
Coaching is generally more structured and forward-focused. It supports goal-setting, accountability, and developing practical strategies for everyday life.
In practice, the two can overlap. Many people benefit from a blend of both — where emotional insight and practical action go hand in hand.
